Mr Bala was called to the Singapore Bar in 1997, after ten years as a teacher with the Ministry of Education. From 2012 to 2017 he was an associate director in a law corporation serving the banking sector, where he trained and supervised a team of junior lawyers, trainees and staff in debt recovery, from litigation through to enforcement. He co-founded Actus Legal in 2018, and takes on civil, criminal and family matters alongside commercial, arbitration and solicitor's work.
